What are the course prerequisites?
A keen attitude to learning, basic computer skills, and access to a computer or laptop with
Microsoft Office and a stable internet connection for Zoom sessions, assessment, and assignment submissions.
In terms of prerequisites for our courses, our programs are designed for those who have already completed relevant industry
training or have equivalent knowledge and experience. CERT Academy does not offer entry-level training programs.

What is the time commitment for your course?
Each course has a different level of time commitment.
The courses are largely self-paced learning.
The guideline for course duration & commitment is listed in the Course Overview of each individual course.
Is the learning online or face-to-face?
This will depend on the course, all training programs have an online component,
some training programs have face-to-face or blended learning.
Please refer to the individual Course Overviews for specific details.
If the learning is online, and I can’t come to that session, will I have to book another?
No, sessions are recorded and always available on the online learning platform, so you can view them at your leisure.
You can access all the course resources and video presentations as many times as you wish during your course.
Can I ask the instructors questions?
Students can ask questions during the live online Zoom sessions.
We also run weekly online Q & A sessions with the CERT Academy instructional team
and special guests, to specifically answer student questions and discuss relevant topics.
Do I have to be in Australia?
No, luckily you can be anywhere in the world to enjoy our online courses.

Do you offer RPL?
CERT Academy offers RPL to individuals with relevant education or experience.

Do I need to speak English?
Our expectation is that you speak, read and write English.
If English is not your first language, we would require an IELTS score of a minimum of 6.5.

I have a physical disability, can I still enrol?
For our online courses, this would not be a concern. For the blended courses, that have significant practical components,
due to the highly practical nature of our courses, persons with significant physical disabilities
may not be able to participate in some of the practical activities. We have had people in wheelchairs attend our courses,
where they can observe and learn the material, but not necessarily participate in the practical activities.
